Kate is passionate about helping women with sexual concerns (e.g., low desire, painful sex, orgasm difficulties) to understand, improve, connect to, and enjoy their sexuality. In fact, her master’s project was a guide for Albertan women seeking help for sexual problems, available at FemaleSexualProblems.ca. She also enjoys working with clients with concerns around other sexually taboo topics, (e.g., nonmonogamy, pornography, kink) and clients who are either current or former members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Qualifications
Kate has a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology. She is a Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), possessing a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation. She is also a Certified Sexologist through the American Board of Sexology, a member of the Alberta Society for the Promotion of Sexual Health (ASPSH) and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), and a founding member of the International Board of Sexuality Professionals (IBOSP).

Hello! My name is Erin Musick and I am a Registered Psychologist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. I am one of the owners of Lethbridge Counselling Services. I have been working in the counselling field since 2006 and hold a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) degree in Psychology and a Master of Counselling degree (Counselling Psychology). I completed my Sex Therapist training with the Sexual Health Alliance in 2022.
My areas of practice include sexuality and related concerns (sexual difficulties, sexual shame, struggles with desire/arousal, effects of trauma, sexual dysfunction, out of control sexual behaviour) trauma and attachment concerns, health and chronic illness/pain, binge eating and other disordered eating behaviours, body image, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, adult ADHD, life transitions, fears and phobias. I am kink, poly, CNM and LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and affirming.
I am a Certified EMDR therapist with EMDRIA and have been using EMDR in my practice for 20 years. Other therapeutic modalities that I draw from include somatic approaches, polyvagal, DBT, systems approaches, and ACT and overall, I take a very person-centered and strength based approach in my work. I really enjoy supervision and consultation and supervise Master’s Level students during their practicum experiences as well as provisional psychologists during their registration. I am a Certified EMDR Consultant with EMDRIA and am now am excited to be working towards being an AASECT certified supervisor as well. I also love speaking and teaching and am an avid sharer of knowledge, sometimes with great enthusiasm!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, adult children and pets (Roxy the dog and 2 cats Felix and Ginger). I also love music and can be found singing in my car wherever I go, somehow being able to remember all the lyrics and forgetting where I last left my glasses! I love hiking and being outside as often as I can but am also very happy with a cup of tea and a good movie at home.
